A member of Bangladesh Civil Service: Audit and Accounts Cadre Mr. Mohammad Moslem Uddin joined as Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Bangladesh, Dhaka on 7th November 2012. Prior to joining this assignment, he was working as Director General, Commercial Audit Directorate, Dhaka.
He got his Honors and Masters degree in Political Science from Dhaka University in 1979 and 1980 respectively. He obtained professional training in public sector accounting and auditing from Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, London, UK, and Human Resource Development Center, Commission on Audit, Manila, Philippines.
He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Audit & Accounts Cadre) in 1983 as Assistant Accountant General. Prior to that he was working as Lecturer, Department of Political Science, Rajshahi University, Rajshahi. During his long carrier in Civil Service he held several important positions of Audit & Accounts service. He worked as Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) of different important Ministries including the Ministries of Home, Foreign Affairs, Public Administration, Communication, Defence, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, and Fisheries. He worked as Staff Officer to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh in the capacity of Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Admin.) and Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (A&R). He also worked as Senior Finance Controller of Bangladesh Army. He held the post of Director General of different Audit Directorates including Foreign Aided Projects Audit Directorate, Mission Audit Directorate, Local and Revenue Audit Directorate, Defence Audit Directorate, Railway Audit Directorate, and Works Audit Directorate.
He has some important professional articles published in Review, Quarterly Journal of the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. He also co-authored article with the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh.
